Insta-love and acceptance, but 'shifter justified'. I just wish we were left with a better resolution to the plot. There just wasn't enough proof to explain the bad guy to the authorities in the end, and how did they explain leaving the body in the woods, and the fact that it was in the condition it was? Alpha State Animal Agent meets a curvy ranger who is his mate. Their initial meeting is lacking but their pull and attraction warms you're heart. Great read and fast and easy. Leaves you wanting more.
This was a great read. It kept my interest the whole way through. I love that little cub. He was so cute and what he put Cassidy through was hilarious. Daniel was hot and intense. I love it. Wish I got more but the story wasn't really rushed or felt like you were missing a lot. It had great flow, intense and sweet moments and lets not forget that heat.
This is the first I believe that I have read from this author and I'm pretty sure that I got this book as a freebie. I gotta say that I really liked this book. The romance between Cassidy and Daniel was short and sweet and I know that bothers some readers, get over it! Everything was written well. And I probably will read more from this author. Oh, and I only have one con... That is i would have liked to learn more about Cassidy's family and the sherrif and his wife. Yup that's it. Good read.
Beauty and the Bear is a story about Cassidy James who is a park ranger protecting the forest around her home town of Hayfield Maine. Cassidy loves her job and the forest but is not happy the way her boss does not get the idea that she does not want anything to do with him romantically. Cassidy is out patrolling when she finds a bear cub wondering around by itself. She cannot leave it when its mother does not come to get it, so she takes it home with her to protect it and get to a wildlife retreat. The next morning Daniel shows up on her doorsteps. He is looking for a bear cub, and is a state ranger investigating the poaching problem. Cassidy’s life is not going to be the same again. I will leave it to you to read and see.
This story is really good. The characters develop fast and the story stays steady to face paced. If you love shifter romances this is a great story for you. My only complaint is that it was over too fast.

I loved the heroine. She reminded me of the lead character of that movie "Fargo". The heroine is one determined park ranger with guts. She states she is the only park ranger in her region and determined to do right when she finds herself a wounded little bear. She suspects pouchers but doesn't realize how big of a case she got herself involved with. Very persistent person in getting to the bottom of it.
There story is really smooth reading. The love interest builds gradually and the heat is mild. There is only one mild love scene in the whole story.
I would have liked more focus on the couple is my only complaint. Loved storyline and characters, but felt the joint investigation between hero and heroine took up to much storyline that I missed more interaction between the couple as a growing couple. Felt at times their relationship was rushed as a side story to the focused investigation on the pouchers.
It's a safe read. No OW drama. There is OM drama inform of a pesky boss by heroine, who was also a former bully to her. Both had prior relationships but neither mentioned other people. There is description of mild physical violence. I would consider this a safe read. Ends with nice HEA.
Captavating story. Good plot. Would recommand this story for others. Like the interaction of the main character. Love the mischievious cub
My opinion only, I liked reading this story. It had some minor issues and pet-peeves of mine that kept me from rating 5 stars. It was still good not great.
